The Ultimate Label Printer Pro FAQ (Answers to Frequently Asked Questions)
1) If you are having trouble printing or adding pictures, make sure your graphics are PICT files. You can resave your graphics as PICT files using any graphics program such as the excellent shareware program GraphicConverter 3.0 and then add them again.
2) If the Ultimate Label Printer Pro cannot find any Plug-Ins, make sure the Plug-Ins folder is called “Label Plug-Ins” and is in the same directory as the Ultimate Label Printer Pro.
3) If you are getting “Out of Memory” errors, go to the preferences box (in the Edit menu) and enable the option to force all graphics to 8-bit color. This will let the Ultimate Label Printer Pro use less memory but it will not affect the printed labels. When printing, the Ultimate Label Printer Pro will still use the best possible color regardless of this setting.
4) If you get an error when starting the Ultimate Label Printer Pro that says your screen resolution is too low, go the “Montors and Sound” or “Monitors” control panel and change your screen resolution to at least 800x600. Although it will run, it is very difficult to use the Ultimate Label Printer Pro on a 640x480 screen.
5) For backwards file compatibility with the CD Label Printer Pro version 4.1 and 4.1.1, you must have the "CD (Basic)" Plug-In installed. It can be found in the "Additional Plug-Ins" folder. To open the older files, choose "Open..." from the file menu.
6) If you are getting a “Type 1 Error” on startup, please upgrade your system software to version 7.6 or higher. This problem only appears in system 7.1.x and 7.5.x, but seems to go away in system 7.6. The ULPP fully supports any mac system up to and including System 8.1 as of this release.
7) If certain invisble files appear in the directory scan, such as “Icon” files from the finder, try deleting these files with ResEdit or a similar utility. They may have become corrupted. If there are any requests I may add a custom file exclusion list to the directory scanning preferences.
